I'm sorry, but this just can't wait.
I know the shade from all this
daylight is bound to fade away.
I don't think that there's much left for me to say.
Except that I'm not sorry for leaving you,
but I guess I could explain without restraint:

Not enthralled, nor ecstatic.
Dust collected in the attic of my heart
and blew through air vents which were
bound to tear my lungs apart.
Non sporadic, just addicted to the television static
that seems to reel me in
every time I think of
the girl that would've got away.

I think it's time I set this straight.
The type of feeling that I get when she's so far from me
drowns me in a way that I'm okay with dying
at the bottom of the sea,
as long as I know that hers is the hand that's holding me underneath.

All the madness
brought by sadness led to gladness.
You left me out of luck, but she reminded me
that I wasn't stuck in between all the crazy and
the temporary haziness that clouded
every judgment that had slowly poisoned me.

This is for ALL of the people who stood by me, and for the ONE who will never fully understand ... more
